Faux fall stems and branches are meant to be styled in a container of your choice, making them easy to customize to fit your decor, rearrange to refresh their look, and move around your space. Create flower arrangements with hydrangea, roses, sunflowers, and more, and pair them with branches and leaf stems. Or go minimalist and display a single stem or variety. Add them to a dining table, hallway console, nightstand, or bathroom shelf, and move them around whenever your room needs a change.
Determine what style and color suit your decor. Browse the collection for flower, maple leaf, sorghum wheat, hydrangea, and more. Since these colors are hand-picked for fall decor, choose whatever catches your eye and complements your fall look. Check how many stems are in a set before ordering.
For a small shelf, nightstand, or bathroom, three to five stems is ideal. Console, sideboard, and smaller dining table centerpieces work well with six to eight stems. For large centerpieces and displays, there’s no limit. Choose the number that fits your vase and desired fullness. For smaller displays, choose one to three varieties, and place the tallest stems toward the back when applicable.
A solid, neutral vessel in ceramic, terracotta, or stoneware lets the foliage take center stage without having to hide stems. Clear glass vases show the base of the stems, creating a clean, modern look. Or, add rocks and other filler for a more organic, layered look.
The fall styles here run from about 18 inches up to just over 3 feet. Unless pre-set in an arrangement, stems and branches can be trimmed to fit your vase or planter. A good height rule is to add stems about one and a half times the height of your vessel, so an 18-inch stem suits a shelf jar and a 38-inch autumn maple leaf can work with a floor vase.
Yes. Pairing a floral stem such as hydrangea or sunflower with a textured one such as sorghum or a plain branch creates a designed, layered look. Keeping to one or two color families holds the mix together, and repeating the taller variety sets the outline.
Yes. Maple leaf stems and smaller floral styles can be tucked into a wreath or garland. Hold them in place with a wrap of floral wire at the base. Add them where the wreath has natural open areas rather than spacing them evenly, and keep the set count in mind so you still have enough left for a coordinated vase.
Because stems and branches are delicate, save them for indoor use. Do not place them in direct sunlight as they are not UV resistant. For outdoor faux fall plants, shop the Outdoor Autumn Plants & Trees collection.
Simply dust leaves and petals with a soft, dry cloth. Between seasons, stand the sets upright in a tall box rather than pressing them into a bundle, so the petals and leaves hold their shape. If standing is not possible, keep them from being crushed to hold their shape.
